It is clearly stated in you lease that we highly recommend that all tenants obtain in renters insurance. It is very affordable and when you are propery covered can provide temporary living accomodations while the unit is being rehabed. It should also protect you from loss such as your personal property and in any emergency situations. Any damage or loss of personal property due to an insurance event is not the responsibility of the owner. You as a tenant take full responsibility for losses that would have required insurance.
